The doors in the designer. What each one is.
Three kinds of front door, each from a specialist maker, each made to measure and fitted by our own crews.
Composite
The widest choice
A tough, glass-reinforced skin with a timber grain, over an insulated foam core, in a steel-reinforced frame. Its maker offers 160 designs and over 2,000 colours, and a 10-year warranty against the door bowing.
Solid timber core
The weight of timber
A composite door built round a 48 mm core of engineered timber, in a foiled skin with a moisture barrier at its foot. A 3-star cylinder comes as standard, and its maker backs it with a £2,000 security guarantee.
Aluminium
Slim and modern
A 60 mm aluminium door with a thermal break, in an aluminium frame powder-coated at the same time, so the colours match exactly. Its maker guarantees the paint for 25 years.

Questions about the designer.
Anything else? Request a quick callback or call 01473 659062 and ask us straight.
Why doesn’t it show a price?
Every door is made to measure, and the opening, the frame and what’s there now all change the price. A number from a website would only be a guess, so we survey for free and give you one written price, fitting included. The last step shows what affects the price of your choices.
Can you make exactly what I design?
Usually, yes: every style, glass, colour and handle in it is one its maker offers for that kind of door, and the options for each door are ones that go together. At the survey we check it against your opening and suggest changes if something won’t work.
How accurate are the colours and glass?
The designs and sizes are drawn to scale, and the colours are matched to the makers’ own colour references, but a screen is only a guide. See the door colours, glass and hardware for real in our Ipswich showroom, or ask us to bring samples to the survey.
Which kind of door should I choose?
A composite door gives you the widest choice of designs and colours. A solid timber core door has the weight and feel of timber, with a 3-star cylinder as standard. An aluminium door is the slimmest and most modern, powder-coated to match its frame. We’ll talk you through them at the survey or in the showroom.
Can I have a different colour inside?
Yes. Most people choose white inside, to go with the hall, but you can have the same colour on both sides. Choose it on the colours step, then see it in the inside view.
Does my design get saved?
It’s kept in this browser, so it’s still here when you come back. Send your details on the last step for your price: straight after, your thank-you page gives you your door as a PDF, with every view and its full specification, and a link to come back to it from anywhere, which we email you too. Nothing reaches us until you send it.
