Two composite doors. The difference is inside.
Both have a tough skin, moulded with a timber grain that won’t crack, peel or need painting: GRP on Hallmark, foiled uPVC on Endurance. Underneath, Hallmark is filled with insulating foam and Endurance is built around a 48 mm laminated timber core.
| Feature | Hallmark | Endurance |
|---|---|---|
| Inside | A CFC-free foam core | A 48 mm laminated timber core |

What is a composite door?
A door built in layers: a tough skin moulded with a timber grain, over an insulating core. Hallmark uses a GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) skin over a foam core, and Endurance a foiled uPVC skin over a solid timber core. It looks like wood but won’t crack, peel or need painting.
Hallmark or Endurance?
Hallmark has a foam core: lightweight, strong, well insulated and great value, and it’s our most popular. Endurance has a 48 mm laminated timber core, so it’s heavier, more solid and quieter. Open both in the showroom and feel the difference.
How much does a composite door cost?
It depends on the range, the size of the opening, the glass and hardware, and any side panels or toplight. We measure for free and give you one written price for the door and the fitting. Finance is available at 12.9% APR representative.
How long do composite doors last?
Composite doors need very little care: a wash every couple of months, and no painting. Hallmark guarantees its doors against bowing for 10 years, and Endurance gives a 10-year manufacturing guarantee.
Are composite doors secure?
Yes. Hallmark and Endurance doors are tested to PAS 24, with multi-point locking in a reinforced frame. Endurance comes with a 3-star cylinder and a £2,000 security guarantee, and Hallmark can be upgraded to an Ultion 3-star cylinder. Secured by Design is an option on both: it needs laminated glass and a few extra fittings, so we’ll check your choice at the survey.
Will a composite door keep the heat in?
Yes. The insulated core and good seals keep warmth in and draughts out. Endurance says every one of its doors has a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better, which meets the Building Regulations. For the warmest door, ask about Hallmark’s 70 mm double rebate door, with two weather seals.
Which colours can I have?
Hallmark offers over 2,000 colours, and Endurance 19, including Golden Oak, Irish Oak and Rosewood woodgrains. Both come in traditional, cottage and contemporary designs, with glass and hardware to match.
How long does a new door take?
Each door is made to order. Customers’ reviews mention fitting within a month to about six weeks of ordering. We’ll give you a timescale with your quote.
Who will fit my door?
Admiral’s long-serving fitters, after we’ve measured the opening. Customers often name them in their reviews.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. Finance through Novuna at 12.9% APR representative, from £500 to £25,000 over 1 to 10 years, or buy now, pay later at 14.9% APR. Finance is subject to status. Try the calculator.
